C’est à l’âge de quatre ans que commençait pour Marouen son attirance pour l’art et il a commencé comme tous les enfants par créer des dessins abstraits avec la gouache, et cette passion ne l’a depuis jamais quitté.
Atteint l’âge de dix ans, il s’est découvert une attirance pour la photographie à laquelle il s’adonnait avec l’appareil-photo argentique de sa mère ; et c’était le début des signes artistiques nés en lui qui l’amenèrent à l’âge de treize ans à faire son choix dans la vie : être artiste.
Son intérêt pour tous les genres d’art l’amène ainsi à pratiquement tous les essayer, les arts martiaux, la peinture, la musique, le cinéma, le théâtre… et c’est par cette recherche continuelle de son domaine de prédilection qu’il a fini par le trouver: l’art de la communication visuelle et de la photographie.
Au lycée, il a suivi des études scientifiques dans la section « Sciences Techniques », en parallèle desquels, il a continué à faire ce qu’il aimait. Il était cinéaste amateur, ainsi qu’encadreur pour enfants au sein des projets d’animation traditionnelle avec « Erling Ericsson » avec l’organisation « Save the children ».
Et c’est en 2008, que commençait sa carrière en Design graphique et Multimédia et qu’il commençait à côtoyer la vie professionnelle; tout en suivant ses études au sein de « Collège Lasalle International » de laquelle il a été diplômé avec la mention « excellent » et Majeur de promotion 2010.
En 2011, Marouen est parti en destination du Canada, à Montréal précisément, pour étudier la photographie professionnelle et c’est là; fasciné par la nature, par l’architecture et le multiculturalisme des gens, attiré par la beauté du paysage surtout en hiver; qu’il s’est trouvé comblé et a commencé à immortaliser les moments phares qu’il vivait et l’extraordinaire architecture et patrimoine urbain qui l’émerveillait avec l’aide de la technologie numérique et du processus du HDR qu’il vise à développer et à perfectionner dans chaque photo.
Et c’est en 2012, qu’il commene à goûter aux fruits de son travail continu. En effet, dans le cadre du concours inter-collégial et parmi 6500 œuvres photographiques, cil a été parmi les finalistes honorés par le jury et on a choisi sa photo pour habiller la carte postale Montréal « Catégorie infrastructures et transport ».

In his early childhood he was attracted to abstract art, he loved its spontaneity and freshness.
And when he was four years old he painted his first abstract work using gouache, And by time abstract painting became one of his favorite hobbies.
Around the age of ten, Marouen became fascinated by photography, he loved the idea of capturing pictures to record the precious moments of his life. He used to take his camera with him wherever he went as to be ready to capture all the moments he didn’t want to miss.
Year by year, his love for photography grew and his interests expanded to include paintings, violin, theater, cinema and marital art.
And in 2007, Marouen participated as an amateur filmmaker in an animated film with Erling Ericsson for Save The Children organization.
Marouen’s artistic talent flourished and became able to make him a professional artist, but Marouen decided to enhance his talent more by studying the two kinds of art that he was more into, Graphic design and Photography.
In 2010, He graduated from The Canadian International School « LASALLE COLLEGE » and began his career in earnest in Graphic Design and Multimedia, entering the professional world in the field that he loved.
In 2011, His passion for art took him far away from home town, seeking for adventures everywhere as to add a value to his professional path.
He went to Montreal, Canada where he decided to study Photography and where he’s living now. In Montreal, he gets fascinated by the inspiring nature and the unique beauty of every season particularly the winter which has a special impact on him.
He’s also influenced by the different culture, the extraordinary architecture and the urban heritage which stimulates him to use the latest techniques in digital photography and the HDR technique to capturing not only the materialistic details of the places but also the spirits and the feelings that he wants to share with the whole world.
Exhibitions and Awards:
- In 2012, Marouen awarded in a provincial concours competition in Quebec.
- He is participating now in l’exposition le nom de lieu, signature du temps et de l’espace 2012 – 2013, at Musée de la civilisation and Musée de l’Amérique francaise in Quebec.
